WHO ARE WE?
Compared to other Rotary Clubs, the Rotary Club of Mindarie is a relatively
new Club as it was chartered in November 2010 and is part of Rotary District
D9455; one of the two districts in Western Australia. It is one of some 32,000
Rotary Clubs and 1.2 million Rotarians worldwide that form the "Rotary
Family".
We are called the Rotary Club of Mindarie but our catchment area is
bounded by Pippidinny Road to the north, Wanneroo Road to the east,
Burns Beach Road to the South and of course, the Indian Ocean to the west.
So if you live in Eglinton, Alkimos, Jindalee, Shorehaven,, Butler, Ridegwood,
Clarkson, Merriwa, Burns Beach, Kinross, Quinns Rocks and Mindarie
- we are your local club.
Come and join us, you’ll be most welcome and you’re sure to have fun whilst
contributing to your local community. Our membership has a vibrant balance
of young and mature age, with the average age around 47, plus a good mix
of men and women.
We are people just like you who have an
interest and passion for both community
service and friendship.
We joined the Rotary family to share our
common desire to help the community
recognising that in numbers we can
accomplish more.
We are involved with the local community to raise funds and
work on local community projects, plus contributing to
international projects. Through a variety of programmes, we
are involved with local schools. youth activities and community
welfare groups.
Our members come from many different backgrouds.
We have lawyers, financial advisers, bankers, tradespeople,
managers, small business owners, public and private sector employees, retirees and stay at home parents. Rotary connects these different and unique perspectives, and helps leverage its members’ expertise to improve lives everywhere.
